I love Alan Dershowitz

This man reveals the truth about America and democracy. The double standard man. He keeps those fiesty "thou shall be more holier" people in line. Just mention his name they melt. Why? I don't know. All I know is his results, Charlie Bradshaw would get his ass kicked by this man and those character folks that Charles Kuralt brings up in his travels. But why?

All he does is talk without logic at times and wins. Yet, those logical critics stay quiet. Nobody bashes him for giving O.J. advice or getting Claus out of a conviction (Glenn Close!). Norman Finkelstein proves my point. Can't be stopped. Sorry, Barbara Thiede. The mouth roars and it won't stop. Pen and mouth relationship is on.

Muscle can't beat this man. He is no Israelite but a dependent blackmailer of Gentile power by use of the Israel-Palestine argument. Jimmy Carter! Patton, please. MacArthur, his momma. Nope, it is over. He is king without being one. Its like this: Jane Fonda got brutalized with her Vietnam stance but not her Lebanese stance. Bob Feller isn't going to mess with that.

What was that bull with Pete Rose and your reading on Larry King? Give advice to Michael Vick concerning animals but you will never be criticized by PETA? Whatever it is: Alan Dershowitz is the king of the American double standard.

Terror in Mumbai

Silence is golden for me concerning this issue. Where is a Pro-Indian lobby? Where were those traditional Indians who always preached about maintaining your Indian culture by marrying Indian only? These Indians are here in America hiding behind Bob Lilly's ass. Or was that Chuck Howley's? Lee Roy Jordan? Rumbling again.

When I hear the news about this organized attack, the rumbles begin again. Do I really care about them folks like I do of what happened to the folks in Nigeria where 300 died in religious clashes? Most want to blame Pakistan, India, or whoever maybe even the United States. I don't. It feels like a mafia hit where you can't do nothing about but look the other way and treat it like a hurricane disaster. You only can recover from it. There is no way to find the bad guy in this one. I get the impression that good guys and bad guys were involved. Don't know who? The same feeling with 9/11, Timothy McVeigh, and Wayne Williams (stretch, yes- to fit this thought but maybe not).

I get asked by co-workers some curious, some sincere, and some who just want to ball-bust. I say this. What was it that Axel Rose said, "What so civil about war". But this isn't war but a secret genocide. Usually, in these type of clashes, you have a knucklehead moment where somebody accidentally fires into somebody. I'm not talking about Pat Tillman but a Plaxico Buress moment. Yet, this feels like a Pat Tillman moment. You think somebody had a knucklehead moment but you aren't so sure?

Point is: you are never going to find one because it was so organized, prepared, and orderly. Emotion taken out. No blood but bodies. No passion. Usually, innocent folks know ahead of time what is going to happen. They may not be able to defend it but know what is coming and shield the best they can and defend themselves marginally. Hence, the bloodiness. But they didn't and they still don't in this one.

Let the rumbles began. Wasn't it Blaine Nye who said "its not who wins but who gets the blame?" Manders? Wright? Rafferty?.......

Lesbian comedians vs. heterosexual ones

I saw this on one of these sites about why are comedians are male and lesbians. That you had retort blogs mentioning about straight comedians. I put this here because I wrote on that site but I had to be a member. Here is my take.

I tend to like the ones who are lesbians because as a minorities they seem comfortable to differences. They aren't as attached to the inner circle or their comedy world like heterosexual ones such as Tina Fey and Tracey Ullmann. Likewise, lesbian comedians tend to be innovators and improvisers while comedians like Tina and Tracey tend to be over-schooled and are very attached to that particular method or system (my opinion, they have taken a lot from Lily Tomlin). Kate Clinton can combine both while Ellen is just Ellen. Finally, what do heterosexual women have to laugh about if they got a great husband with kids and life that is going well?

Okay, if the husband is bad as well as the kids and life stinks, you can have a good laugh. But it comes across as desperate and annoying. Joan Rivers comes to mind as well as Phyllis Diller (she really used techniques but when they failed tended to go put-downs). In addition, they tend to put themselves down to get the quick, double negative feedback from the audience. That is why Tina others used the technique method so they don't have to be dependent on the audience. But that comes across as snobbish which is why the Sarah Pallin one is effective in the short term but long term, it becomes a pit-down tool.

Thank you mom, Selvi Mani

I had to write. A few months ago, my real mother passed. It was my step-mother that informed around 4 a.m. on a Saturday by calling me. That is not why I'm writing this.

I been alright with my relationship with step mother. I followed her rules but definitely not her dreams. She used to try to fire start me by trying to compare with other Indian kids who were doing well in school. But these Indian kids didn't date and I knew they would just marry another Indian girl that was probably arranged by their parents. I wish she would compare me to other American kids but then it would be excuse for me not to do well.

She did get under my skin until I called her Chris Evert's bitch to her and use to all people who get under my skin. They can explain what this means. I don't even know what it means but it works particularly towards ball busters. Those who are honest about it, they embrace it, love it, and roll with it. I love to be Chris Evert's bitch but I'm too lazy to pick on other softies (sorry, Evonne).

Fact was. We both knew weren't each other's. We tried to be normal because we both didn't want to mess with the man. My father; her husband. Though, I never wanted her to be happy with any success. That is why I never blamed her for my failures except when it came to finding friend and girlfriends during my high school years and college. I thought she treated me like a prisoner. I'm considered a softie who had to get strong but I didn't want to be a Indian for it or bring an Indian to this country. I was happy when she said bad things about me. My biggest fear was that she was going to steer me to an Indian girl if I became a success.

However in the last few years, she has changed as has accepted role as a step-mother to me. She has done well of being honest of her position to other Indians particularly to other Indian women who can be very gossipy and vicious with it. I'm very proud of that. I do call her mom even though many times in arguments, I do want to call her by her name; yet, my soft side doesn't allow it.

I don't know if I really had a mother but if I become a success. You know who I will give the credit too. Selvi Mani.

Laura Branigan's work ethic

There are critics who talk people who did not fulfill their potential and talent. Particular in music when a person has faded into obscurity or has died. One of those is Laura Branigan. Her famous hit song from the movie "Flashdance" Gloria. She had a reputation as a known hell raiser and a lazy artist with talent.

I think that is why I'm endeared to Laura because she was greedy and lazy with sincerity. I wish the producers could see talent and artistry. What, Jim Morrison was a straight shooter. Please! but they worked with him and his abilities. Too many John Densmores and not enough Robbie Kriegers. Her flaw as well as Stevie Nicks is that she should have had a female producer who understood her complexities and idiosyncrasies. I thought Diane Warren writing her songs for and with her were good but you need to produce them as well. Her later album productions seemed out-of-sync.

Most of theses straight shooter females singers slave and whore themselves to the dorky male producers like they come from Adam's rib. Ah. Shania Twain (I know this is mean but I laughed when Mutt left her) even Melissa Etheridge does it too. Then there is was the Quincy Jones product where really the producer worked the singer to bring out her abilities or a total mismatch which results in bad albums. Donna Summer and Quincy? The group Heart after the first few albums is another example.

Take a listen to her version of Gloria. I believe that production of the song cost her the best female vocal performer of the year to Melissa Manchester of 1982 (Quincy looked like he didn't want to give the trophy to Melissa). There were so many dead-spot dubs (like you an audience hears when somebody sings from a tape recorder ). Likewise, the synth intro was sampled from Olivia Newton John's Physical and the bass line sounds like Billy Joel's "My Life." That was first full year of listening to music from late 1982. I thought Melissa's song "You Should see How She Talks About You" had so much momentum and spunk to win it that year. It is just that Laura's song had to age a bit to appreciate it. I remember hearing it then and thought it was another pop synth song as many were then. But now listening to it, Laura's voice really gave that permanent life while Melissa's sounds very dated and nostalgic.

790 AM in Atlanta used to be an oldies station in the 80's. This song would come on during the night when I was trying to sleep to get ready for school. I don't think Laura would be accepted for her artist lifestyle in any time because she was just herself regardless of time. Madonna took a lot of stuff and had a driving agenda to be successful. She was willing to whore up but willing to do her own production as well which to me is the key. Say what you will, Madonna is a producer that is up there with the Joneses, Martins, and Ramones. However for her, the blonde ambition is the key and Laura wasn't willing to do that.

Jill Arrington is missing

I saw this blog about Jill Arrington. It mentioned about her living in Beverly Hills and hasn't been in the limelight since 2004. I kept thinking she has worked since but really hasn't. The blog mentioned about leaving ESPN for personal reasons. I remember hearing that she GOT pregnant without getting married. I wonder if she was the first reporter to do that?

Watching her, I liked looking at her but same time was a nuisance to AJC sports because they wanted to make deadline and she seemed to delay it when Verne Lundquist and other CBS broadcasters made this scene of introducing her. It seemed forced instead of "on the flow" reporting. It got better when she was at ESPN. That was true with Erin Andrews when she worked for the Braves. The booth broadcasters weren't happy about the two being bonanza ratings and neither did the fans. It was that obvious.

As a person and a reporter, I thought she knew her stuff but she seemed to want to create this omnisexual impression of being available to everyone (sort of like Amy Grant on the wholesome suburban angle). Bonnie Bernstein? See Alex Hawkins. Melissa Stark created this impression "only dorky white men with a career can have me"; true with most ambitious white females but Melissa Stark pushed that mantra over the top like Hannah Storm (does have Today host ability) and got the player treatment like Bonnie . No. 8 and those like him had the curse of reading minds and purposes. What did that female drill seargeant say about her female recruits and why they were there?

Erin Andrews understood the power of playing the nerd and a whore. That is essentially what America men like. Sometimes, you see vice versa of a whore turning into a nerd but that is more in local not national media. They will kill you. When she was with the Braves, she tried to play the dumb whore card but her awkwardness and nerdiness held her down. When she moved to ESPN, she got the rhythm down and hasn't looked back. As for Jill, it was either or and it cost her. Maybe a second chance and add a little more Ashleigh Banfield to her game.

As for me, I like the ones who are attractive to the point of prostitution but don't seem attracted to men. Mary Strong comes to mind; Inga Hammond. Ashleigh and those cigars?
