2014 Gleneagles on Annika Olson Road

I know I'm late on this but couple of things concerning the Ryder Cup. I, fortunately or unfortunately was asked to log this tournament. Friday and Saturday was difficult due to two player per a team on each hole concept (scoring wise) then the alternate ball concept where Sergio Garcia would hit the ball in the woods then Rory McIlroy would hit them out of the rough for him? But by Sunday, I was into it. Apparently, Michael Jordan as well who donated his Air Jordans to the team (Sorry for missing a cutaway of him on Saturday). He has been going to this event for a while. I have to say Rory is Tiger Woods of 2001 at Pebble Beach where every shot was close to the flag with that back spin thud. Poor, Rickie Fowler. I don't like him backing off Caroline Wozniacki but he has played better and so has she. The US captain Tom Watson was questioned about his decisions concerning the pairings of Fowler. I questioned the Friday afternoon benching of Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed when they played so well in the morning. But I do question his benching of Phil Mickelson for all of Saturday after a horrendous Friday. I heard that there was a couple of yelling sessions between him and Watson but Watson stood firm. I applaud him for that. What bugged me was Phil's attitude. Hanging out with the fans with a cappuccino and chatting it up. I understand Phil being Phil and the whole Artest thing of managing yourself. But this was on the border of Rickey Henderson and Bobby Bonilla playing cards during the playoffs. I thought it was more of an attack than spontaniety but he did play well on Sunday. But he wasn't that leader by example. Those were young guys who needed someone to anchor them. Because Reed, Spieth, and Fowler suffered for it. Tiger, get the back here, God damn it!
